The head of the Spanish Center for the Study of medicinal properties of cannabis (Observatorio Español del Cannabis Medicinal, OECM) should be the initiator of the project Jose Korlos Buso. Dr. Buso is known in Spain as a professional pharmacist, founder of the International Center for the Study of ethnobotany (International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research & Service, ICEERS), as well as the public conference Cannabmed, held every year in Barcelona.
The work of the Centre will attend the Spanish doctors specializing in cannabis pharmacology, as well as international experts, conducting fundamental research on the study of the therapeutic properties of cannabis (Raphael Mechoulam - Israel; Gotenhermer Franco - Germany, Ethan Russo - US, etc.) .
One of the main tasks of the Centre will be exploring the possibility of cancer treatment using pharmacological properties of cannabis according to the procedures developed by Spanish specialists, in particular Manuel Guzman and Christina Sanchez. Equally important will be to study the possibility of treating cannabis other diseases, including physiological and psychological.
